Air transport

From Warsaw Chopin Airport, you can go by train SKM (lines S2 and S3) to the station Warsaw West (Warszawa Zachodnia). There you have to change the train to Lodz Kaliska.

Airport Lodz is located in the south-western part of the city, 6 km away from the city centre.
Lodz has direct international connections with the following cities: Dublin (Ireland), London Stansted (UK), Nottingham (UK) Paris (France), Rome (Italy) and Shannon (Ireland).

Moreover, more and more foreign and domestic travel agencies offer charter flights to and from Lodz. Nowadays there are as many as eighteen charter destinations which can be reached from Lodz Airport. They are as follows:

The Airport location ensures fast access to the very centre of Lodz (Piotrkowska Street) and the main train station (Lodz Kaliska). It takes a few minutes to get to Lodz hotels and shopping centres. Direct access to the Lodz Airport is provided by the Bus Line No. 65. The beginning and final bus stops are located in the close vicinity of the Entrance of Passenger Terminal.

Construction of the new Lodz-Fabryczna railway station - one of the largest investments in Europe - has been commenced. In 2014, the new railway station shall become the most important transport junction in central Poland. Here, the routes of express and local trains, of agglomeration railway and public transport shall intersect.

Thanks to the high-speed rail, ultrafast trains shall connect Lodz with the largest cities of Poland and Europe.The investment requires the Lodz-Fabryczna station to be closed. In connection with that, trains stop at the following stations: Lodz Widzew, Lodz Chojny and Lodz Kaliska. PKP timetables have been changed. Also, the bus loop was moved and the running of public transport was adjusted to the needs of passengers.


Car transport

An excellent geographical location is the main advantage of the city-in the center of Poland, at the junction of motorways and railway main lines, mainly transit directions of east-west and north-south, junction between two motorways: A1 (north-south) and A2 (east-west).

Our city is located only 130 km from Warsaw. The closest motorways or expressways include: A1, A2, S8, S14 DK1, DK14, DK71, DK72, DK91, DW710, DW713.
